Continuing our drive to continuously push the limits of NMR rock core analysis, Green Imaging, in partnership with Oxford Instruments, has developed a 10,000psi NMR compatible pressure cell for the GeoSpec NMR Rock Core Analyzer.
Building on the success of the 5,000psi P5 cell launched several years ago, we have evolved the design to allow for double the pressure, covering most of the applications any users would need. Like the earlier version, this P10 cell is the only available pressure cell build and designed by an NMR instrument manufacturer, meaning it is fully integrated with the NMR hardware minimizing signal noise and interference with the NMR magnets.
Essentially, the standard ambient pressure probe is replaced by the pressure cell. This cell also carries over the plug and play design concept, allowing the user to remove the cell, at pressure, from the NMR instrument to allow aging of the core under pressure outside the magnet.
